Christopher is a British-born Nigerian-Lebanese writer and director. His feature film, ‘Heavyweight,’ had its World Premiere as the opening night Gala performance of the 33rd Raindance Film Festival in Leicester Square. It went on to be nominated for four awards and he won ‘Best DIrector of a UK Feature.' He studied Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College, which got him one of his first jobs on ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone’ aged 20. With a career spanning over 25 years and over 50 films and tv shows, he has been responsible for countless moments in cinematic history. From one of the opening shots of the first Harry Potter film through to pioneering new camera, stunt, previs, SFX and VFX techniques that are used regularly in studios and post houses. A veteran of the studio system, he has worked on films as diverse as Danny Boyle’s ‘Sunshine,’ ‘Guardians of the Galaxy,’ two generations of ‘X-Men’ films, multiple films in the ‘Harry Potter’ series, ‘Indiana Jones,’ ‘Bohemian Rhapsody' and many more. He developed creatures such as Professor Lupin and Peter Pettigrew for ‘Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban' and the ‘atomization effect’ first seen in 'X-Men: The Last Stand,’ has gone on to inspire many similar iconic scenes in cinema such as Thanos’ ’snap’ from ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and Lord Voldemort’s demise in ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.’ He has worked for Jim Henson Co., Lucasfilm, Disney, Marvel Studios, Netflix, HBO and many more. He was a senior crew member of the team that won an Oscar and a BAFTA for Disney’s ‘The Jungle Book.’ More recent credits include ‘The Marvels,’ ‘The King’s Man,’ ’The Witcher,’ Oscar and BAFTA nominated ‘The Midnight Sky,’ ’The Beekeeper' and ‘House Of The Dragon.’ Christopher has directed a number of music videos for KT Tunstall, Younger Brother, James Bay, Alison Moyet, Franz Ferdinand spin-off $au$age$ and more. He is currently in development on his next film - a period biopic feature called ‘The Black.’
