Blue Planet Sci-fi Film Festival is the first sci-fi film festival in China. Out of nowhere, and with the pandemic, BPSFFF has become an industry leader. Not just for the high quality films they have shown, but for their industry forum.

Since the first session in November 2019, Blue Planet has gathered over 500 science fiction films from 30 countries and regions worldwide, showcasing the latest exploration and versions from global young talents. Furthermore, over 40% of all VC investment pitching session projects were signed with first-tier film production companies in China and are currently being promoted.
What this means for participating filmmakers is simple. Their future projects stand an excellent chance of finance. and their existing projects offers of Chinese distribution.
After two years of development, Blue Planet has grown to be the largest domestic sci-fi film festival, the largest platform for film professionals and talented filmmakers, the largest collection platform of science fiction content, and the only cross-border integration platform for science and technology, as well as film and television in China.
The third session of the Blue Planet Sci-fi Film Festival was held from Dec 16th to December 28th, 2021, in Nanjing and Beijing China. Raindance founder, Elliot Grove, was honoured to be chosen as a festival juror. he was incredibly impressed by the quality of the short-listed films.
