A lonely data entry clerk finds himself in the strange and bizarre office of Data-Mart, where he meets June, an incredibly fast filer. Together they journey into the underground world of championship folder filing, where it’ll take everything to make it to the top, alphabetically speaking.

Review: Diego is living out of his car and desperate for a job. He’s hired by Data Mart, a deeply strange but bland windowless office where the technology is stuck in the early 2000s and the boss is winningly absurd. While there he meets June, a super-speedy filer. They stumble across an underground pro-filing competition, shrouded in secrecy, where competitors are treated like athletes. Diego agrees to be June’s coach.

All Sorts creates a surreal world where time makes little sense and co-workers are all slightly off-kilter. Bolstered by a whimsical soundtrack, the small-time corporate scene is perfectly rendered with office-casual attire, austere cubicles and pointless work.

As June continues to rise through the ranks of competitive filing, Data Mart employees mysteriously disappear and are replaced without fanfare, and staff are surveilled by their productivity-obsessed boss. Amidst all this, June and Diego begin to fall for each other.

At its heart, the film is a strange love story about two outsiders who both have trouble believing they deserve more from life. A perfect tribute to the creativity, love and friendship that can blossom in even the dreariest of settings, All Sorts is wacky and touching.
