Participants can talk through all aspects of the short film process and receive expert advice from filmmaker and Raindance Alumnus Alexei Slater who has made 8 short films over the past decade which have screened in around 200 film festivals and collected approximately 50 awards and nominations. He’s also advised and consulted on other shorts. Through his company Turn the Slate Productions he has written, produced and directed shorts since 2011 as well as working as a development executive for many years and in short film acquisitions. Written feedback on scripts and film edits and selected support materials on the short film process are all included.

Working with Alexei has been absolute gold dust. He is a truly forensic filmic force. Throughout the process he pushes you and asks you to develop your output whatever your focus currently is.
